Why it works
Most homes hold things that cost money and are no longer used. Selling them turns clutter into cash, and seeing what you never used is the best argument against buying more.
The rules
- Each day, go through one small area.
- Sort into keep, sell, donate and bin.
- List sale items within three days or donate them.
The plan
- Days 1 to 7Easy wins: clothes that do not fit, kitchen gadgets, unused electronics.
- Days 8 to 14Hobby gear, books and games.
- Days 15 to 21Kids’ outgrown things, furniture, garage and storage.
- Days 22 to 30Finish listings, drop off donations, total the money.

Tips
- Photograph items in daylight on a plain background.
- Price by looking at sold listings, not asking prices.
- Bundle small items together; they sell faster.
