Reading unit prices

The unit price is the price divided by the amount. A 16 oz pack at $2.49 is about 15.6 cents an ounce; a 3 lb (48 oz) pack at $6.99 is about 14.6 cents an ounce. Bigger is often cheaper per unit, but offers on small packs can flip that, so check each time. More in our unit price guide.
